Moniette Laury, Evangelist

Moniette S. Laury was born on Septemeber 17, 1966 to Carolyn Scott and Vernon Miles of Baltimore, MD.  Moniette is married to Darrick A. Laury; and the mother of Monet, Leonard, and step-son Corey.

She graduated from Mergenthaler Tech High School where she took up Cosmetology. Shortly after graduating, Moniette received her license in Cosmetology, and went on to receive her management license and established her own beauty salon and boutique; Monet's Hair Gallery, in 1990.

Little did she know that Monet's would be her first step into ministry; she not only sought to beautify women on the outside, but in the inside as well.  With a vision to expand her business in 2004, Moniette enrolled in the Baltimore International College.  She graduated April 2006 and received her Associates Degree in Hotel Motel Inn-Keeping Management.

Moniette received the Lord as her Personal Savior in her youth.  She received guidance under the wings of her grandmother (the late Sarah Wallace) and her mother Carolyn; they installed in her to trust God.  She was held tightly to His unchanging hand until this day.

In 2005, she joined Adonai Ministries where she has grown under the encouragement, teaching and most of all leadership of Bishop Michael and First Lady Doris Evans.  She seeks to participate and support all church endeavors, and presently serves as a member of the church's Finance Committee.

In 2004 Moniette heard the voice of the Lord calling her to proclaim the gospel.  Above all her accomplishments and those to come, Moniette realized accepting the call to preach the gospel was the purpose for which she was destined.

Moniette preached her initial sermon on Sunday, November 25, 2007.  To God Be The Glory!

This scripture: “For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.’  Jeremiah 29:11-13  keeps Moniette fixed on God's purpose and promise for her life.
