Lakesha Evans, Elder

Lakesha is the twenty-six year old daughter of Bishop Michael and Elder Doris Evans.  She is the younger sister and sister-in-law of Angela and Kevin Ingram.

Kesha as she’s fondly known attended Baltimore City Public Schools and graduated from Mergenthaler Vocational Technical High School in the year of 2000 with a focus in Accounting.   She has attended classes at Coppin State College and has plans to pursue a degree in Accounting.

Kesha was reared in church and received Christ while attending New Elizabeth Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of the late Reverend David Boyd.  Kesha was active in the Youth ministry, Usher Board and Youth choir.  She was always helping out around the church especially in the kitchen, which was her favorite.

Kesha became a member of Adonai Ministries after Bishop Evans was called out to start his own church in March of 1997.  She continued working in various ministries in the church including the Youth and Young Adult Choir and Dance Ministry.

Lakesha received her calling in 2002 and after running from the cal she finally surrendered and informed her Bishop of the call on her life.  She then began attending Aspiring classes at the church.  Lakesha is taking her call on her life very seriously and wants to be used by God to minister to young people everywhere.

Minister Lakesha was ordained an Elder in June 2009 and also became the Youth Pastor of Adonai Ministries.

She’s very grateful to her family that has always supported her and also her church family.  Her favorite scripture is Psalm 139:14 ‘I will praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are your works, and that my soul knows very well.’
